It was titled 'Tea' after the shows only original character. The episode itself was kind of blah- Tea likes girls but just doesn't find them stimulating. It's not much of a plot and it showed. It also showcased the actress's lack of acting ability, though I do have to say that I still like her character.
*Spoilers (if you care enough)*
Tea's father sets her up with the son of someone he knows from work- who just happens to be Tony. They get drunk and have sex for all of 2 seconds.
It also brings back the drug dealer from episode 1, who follows Tea home and threatens her. Her father has connections to the mob, though, and takes care of him. This part mimicked the UK series, though a little earlier than before.
But mostly the episode revolved around Tea angsting about how above all the other girls she is.
They just didn't do a good job at her struggles at home. Obviously, Tea's family doesn't know she's a lesbian and they do seem to think it's a bad thing, but those things are kind of in passing. They didn't have her show concern about her family not accepting her. The only thread of that that was interesting was her grandmother admitting to having a lesbian relationship long ago.
*End Spoiler*
Overall, not a good second episode. It just wasn't as strong as it should have been for being so early in the season, because I bet a lot of people that were willing to give it a chance won't anymore. It was also a little too isolated, with Tea being the only main character through most of it and the others just popping in now and then. Also knowing that episode 3 is another mostly copied episode makes me less than thrilled with this show. I just can't get excited about it.
